What does it look like to consult with me?

Typically, I’ll offer feedback, advice, and insights related to connection. Sometimes, I am presented with a product to foster connection, and I provide feedback. Other times, I help brainstorm ideas to solve an issue related to connection.

Why should you consult with me?

I am one of the world’s leading experts in human connection. I have a Ph.D. in psychology, am a licensed psychologist, and a professor who teaches about loneliness. I authored the New York Times best-selling book Platonic, on the science of making friends. I will share the best of what science offers on connection.

Who do I work with?

Apps, companies, and schools. I help optimize connection-related products, craft connection curriculum, or assist with overcoming connection challenges.

How should you prepare for our meetings?

Come with questions you’d like me to answer. You can send me 2-3 pages describing the issue you’d like my help with beforehand (but this is not necessary).

Do I provide reports related to the advice I share?

I can provide research references for the advice I share with you. I will bill this at my regular rate. If you’d like a more extensive report that deep-dives into a topic related to connection, I may be able to provide this, depending on my availability.

What is my  rate?

$400 per half hour. For reoccurring meetings, I also require a retainer fee of $5000
